This is Home: Teach-in and Art Making Workshop

We are reaching out to Bay Area organizers and artists who are in support of Palestine to join us at a teach-in and art making workshop this Sunday, September 15th from 10:45a-12:30p at ARTogether in Oakland. We will be sharing stories of resilience, loss, and the universal longing for a place to call home through explorations of the lineage of Palestinian indigenous structures, rooted in the family story and lineage of co-facilitator Rania Qawasma, founder of Daarna.

Following the teach-in, participants will be guided through visioning questions that will inform a larger discussion on concepts of “home.” This experience will contribute to a future collective art exhibit. This event is the first of several traveling conversations and art-making workshops to weave together threads of solidarity, resilience, and liberation for all with the vision of displaying the stories and artwork at local exhibitions, community spaces, or galleries.
