We surpassed our goal!

Thanks to you, Kearny Street Workshop raised $28,000, above and beyond our $25,000 goal for “Together, We’ll Make It.”

I want to share my heartfelt thanks for your support of Asian Pacific American artists, activists, organizers and our communities. During a time when anti-immigrant, exclusionary frameworks loom on the horizon, and our very existence as Asian Pacific Americans is under threat, thank you for showing up in community, and being a part of what makes KSW a place of connection, belonging, and resistance.

Thank you to all the donors, volunteers, artists, and friends who have pitched in to keep our programs going for another incredible year. We truly could not do this without you.

Your support goes directly to programs in the year ahead. In the meantime, we’ve got an exciting opening on January 18th from Art 25: Art in the 25th Century - a dynamic collective with artists Lisa Jarrett, Lehua M. Taitano (KSW’s incredible Program & Community Manager!), and Jocelyn Kapumealani Ng.

Future Ancestors is an archive of queer familial intimacy; a photo exhibit with an accompanying sound installation and interpretive captions; a contemporary conversation about survival and representation across borders, space, and time in the 21st century. The collective Art 25 interrogate historical access, curation, collection, consumption, and the preservation of Indigenous and Black art and culture. The opening is Saturday, January 18th - learn more about this groundbreaking exhibition, here.

Thank you so much, from the KSW team, and happy new year!
