KSW’s Year in Review
Thank you all for supporting KSW throughout this year. We wanted to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and the programs we hosted with your help, including:
Dreaming People’s History, an exhibition curated by Colin Kinsey and co-presented by the SF Public Library which brought together KSW’s archives and works by newer artists in response. This exhibition also included Asian American Virtual Histories (AAVH) interviews, which can be found on our website
Book release celebrations with Cathy Linh Che and Kyle Lucia Wu’s Asian American A-Z
The return of KSW Presents, our bi-monthly reading series. In November we hosted Jenny Odell in conversation with Christine Wong Yap, to commemorate her latest book, Saving Time
KSW was honored to be recognized as one of the YBCA 100 alongside many peer organizations and wonderful artists
Our annual master class for BIPOC writers: Interdisciplinary Writer’s Lab was led by Marcelo Hernandez Castillo, Truong Tran, and F.T. Kola as our instructors and we held our first ever IWL retreat on the Mendocino Coast
Our biggest APAture Festival in years as we held 8 different events such as All We Inherit, Resonance, Sonic Memories, Outspoken, Unearthing, Seeking Home
Our Wellness Reception and RESET, KSW’s holiday party focused on taking care of selves and community

If you are in a position to give, we are asking you to support us in an ambitious goal. We not only want to survive, but we want APA arts to grow even further as a critical arm in the history of resistance in this country. Our goal is to raise $25,000 in individual donations this year!
