We stand in solidarity with Palestinians living through violence and resisting Israeli military occupation. May 15 marked the 73rd anniversary of Nakba, when 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homes. Though a cease-fire has been called, the settler colonial violence of the Israeli state is an ongoing, perpetual violence, and we join the voices condemning the actions of Israeli police, military personnel, and armed settlers. As Asian Americans, it is our duty to speak out against the apartheid Israeli state, to stand against US imperialism and settler colonialism, and to take a stand against violence and injustice in all its forms.
