About Interdisciplinary Writers Lab

Interdisciplinary Writers Lab (IWL) is a 3-month, multi-genre master class for local BIPOC writers. It happens every summer. In this unique program emerging writers will be challenged to explore and develop their writing skills and styles across multiple genres.

About Starlight (Guest Performer)

Starlight is a non binary space babe and scared slut. Though they long for distant homelands, they make home on earth through telling love stories. Starlight emerges from queer ancestry and South West Asian and North African (SWANA) cosmology.  From the land, from the waters, they rise with the people for liberation and resistance for a free Palestine. They shine in displacement, celebrating trans-indigeneity, automythology, and collective radiance! They dance dabke with Palestinian dance group Al Juthoor and perform drag in nightlife and community spaces across the Bay Area and galaxy. Find them in interdimensional travel and on IG at @youcandoithabibi
