In celebration of APA Heritage Month in May and the upcoming Pride Month, the Chinese Culture Center cordially invites you to a special book talk featuring Curtis Chin, acclaimed author of "Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant." Join CCC on Saturday, May 25th, at 1pm CCC Auditorium, 750 Kearny St, 3rd Floor, Free general admission.
Curtis Chin, a filmmaker and co-founder of the Asian American Writers' Workshop, shares his compelling memoir chronicling his journey through 1980's Detroit to find his voice as a writer and activist. Through poignant reflections, he navigates rising xenophobia, the AIDS epidemic, and the Reagan Revolution, all against the backdrop of his family's beloved Chinese restaurant.
