7th Annual San José Poetry Festival

Join us for the seventh annual San José Poetry Festival with an exciting series of events this week! Register to attend a workshop, only a few seats left! You can find individual event tickets, workshop tickets, or a full festival pass at bit.ly/pcsjtix.

Tonight is Day 4 of the festival presenting Well-RED featuring Carlos Andrés Gomez & Rachel McKibbens, co-sponsored by Works/San José;

Day 5 - Wednesday, September 15, 7-9pm: Cultura Poetry Night featuring Josiah Luis Alderete and Cynthia Alessandra Briano;

Day 6 - Thursday, September 16, 7-9pm: Third Thursdays featuring Jeanine U-C co-sponsored by Willow Glen Public Library;

Day 7 - Friday, September 17, 7-9pm: Yuki Teikei Haiku Society featuring Carolyn Fitz and Linda Papanicolaou;

Day 8 - Saturday, September 18, 10am-Noon: Workshop “Palabras & Poetry: Love is Empathy” led by Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo;

Day 8 - Saturday, September 18, 2-4pm: Workshop “अन्वेषण /Anveshan (Discovery)” led by Anshu Johri;

Day 8 - Saturday, September 18, 7-9pm: Festival Keynote with Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Janice Lobo Sapigao, SCC Youth Poet Laureate Anouk Yeh and SCC Youth Vice Poet Laureate Mahder Aklilu;

Day 9 - Sunday, September 19, 10am-Noon: Workshop “On Embracing Your Inner and Outer Monster(s)” led by Rachel McKibbens;

Day 9 - Sunday, September 19, 1-3pm: Poetry Exchange with Venus Jones;

Day 9 - Sunday, September 19, 5-8pm: Veterans of life Write featuring Nick Butterfield, Carol Steele, Craige Edgerton, Emilio Gallegos, Doug Nelson, Carol Coughlin and Amy Meier followed by the Small Press Book Fair!
