Course Description
KSW’s Poetry Basics is a four week craft course geared towards developing and emerging poets (and those wanting a bit of a refresher). This class will examine the concept of voice and how we find it within our work. What are the questions we keep returning to? What are we searching for? Each class will focus on a different set of principles that will help us explore how poems are constructed including observation & discovery, musicality/form, and vision. This class will also offer instruction on how to become a more confident reader in front of audiences and guidance for emerging poets who are trying to get their work out in the world.
