APAture 2021 GPC Kick-off Meeting

APAture returns this October from 10/22 to 11/14 and YOU can help put together Kearny Street Workshop's annual multi-disciplinary festival for emerging Asian Pacific American artists. This is a unique opportunity for developing organizers, curators, and arts appreciators to shine a light on the multitude of talent that is coming out of our various communities.

You'll be in on every step of the process from inception to jurying to curation to the final presentation. You'll get to meet some amazing people, learn new skills, and help your fellow artists take the next step in their artistic career. 

This year we’re bringing back a scaled back version of APAture with limited in-person audience AND the option to watch the livestream on Zoom. We are looking for people who are interested in curating, marketing, admin, outreach, fundraising, and event organizing. Also, due to some of the adjustments we’re making to the festival, we’re also looking for people who may have experience in sound and film editing, livestreaming, podcasting, and photo documentation. Our first meeting is coming up on May 1st. It’s a chance to learn what APAture is all about and see if joining the committee is right for you.

We believe that art is a communal process. It isn't just the art we make but making the space it inhabits.. Come see what that's all about!
