visual arts: painting, photography, sculpture, installation, multimedia, etc.
A single gallery piece or a series of related works (i.e. a photo series featuring one subject. Visual submitters MUST include their artwork's dimensions as the piece would be displayed, including frames etc.
performing arts: theater, dance, movement, puppetry, comedy, etc.
A single piece or excerpt of a longer piece no longer than 20 minutes. Videotaped performances preferable, otherwise attach a detailed description.
music/sound: all music, electronic, turntable, sound, noise
A musical presentation or performance no longer than 20 minutes (submit enough tracks to give an reasonable impression of your work).
literary arts: Includes written and drawn work, all writing, spoken word
Literary (readings) - One reading no longer than 15 minutes. Submit an audiotape with your manuscript, if possible.
Literary (spoken word) - One performance no longer than 15 minutes. Submit a videotape, audiotape, or manuscript via email. Indicate emailed manuscript submissions on your form.
film/video: film, video, slide shows, all projections
A single short film or video no longer than 20 minutes submitted for consideration in VHS or DVD format.
tables/printed materials: zines, comics, etc.
Work to display, and sell if desired, at a table. Submit enough materials to show a range of your work.
ARTWORK

Artists submitting to APAture should submit either finished works or specific, thoroughly written proposals to create new works. APAture values community-building, ethnic and artistic diversity, and collboration across ethnic and disciplinary lines.

You may submit up to five files of your artwork electronically, with a limit of 2 MB per file.
Accepted file formats: .jpg, .gif, .png, .doc, .pdf, .htm, .html, .rtf and .mp3.
If you have more than 5 files, your files are larger than 2 MB, or you have physical materials such as slides, CDs, DVDs, videotapes or hard copies, you will have to send or deliver the submitted artwork separately to the KSW office.

You may also specify a URL or set of URLs here, if you have artwork files stored on your own website, myspace server, etc.
Submit only work you intend to present. Last-minute changes will not be accepted. There are, however, provisons for works in progress.
ATTACHMENTS

For each of these, you may either write/paste in text, or attach a file. Accepted file formats: PDF, Word (.doc), RTF (.rtf) or plain text (.txt).

description of work - Briefly and clearly describe the work so that curators understand what the piece looks like/sounds like, or how it is performed. Visual artist must include dimensions. Performing artists must include performance's length of time.

artist statement - Please tell us how you view your artwork. The artist statement will serve as background material for curators; it will not appear in the program, if your submission is accepted.

artist bio - 150 words or less. Due to space constraints, bios exceeding 150 words will not be included in the program.

résumé - Artist résumé preferred, but any résumé is accepted. Applicants without professional artist résumé will not be at a disadvantage in the review process, as APAture encourages new artists to showcase their work.

You will have a chance to review your submission information on the next screen and you will be given a Paypal link where you can pay the $10 submission fee.

You should receive a confirmation email that says that your submission has been received. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please contact the APAture coordinator to determine if your submission was completed successfully. Otherwise, you will only be contacted if your submission is incomplete. You will be notified of your selection status in August 2007.

If you are uploading files, the submission may take time. Please do not hit the button more than once or quit your browser while the upload is in progress.
