Kearny Street Workshop's APATURE FESTIVAL is an annual multidisciplinary arts event presenting the work of emerging Asian Pacific American (APA) artists living and/or working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now in its eighth year, APAture includes a visual arts show, film screenings, workshops, literary readings, performances in spoken word, music, dance, theater, and other performance genres, and an area for zinesters and comic artists to display and sell their work. Experience the sights, sounds, and spirit of over 100 Asian Pacific American artists at eight Mission District venues.

APAture Gallery
The visual arts exhibition of APAture opened at 180 Capp Street on September 19th, and will run through October 20. The gallery is open during APAture and KSW events at space180, including the Lit events on Tuesday, September 26 and the Expo, Open Mic and Closing Night on September 30, and by appointment during KSW office hours on weekdays. Please call KSW at 415.503.0520 to see if the gallery is open.

Interested in helping out at APAture? We will need tons of volunteers for this event, in all kinds of areas (box office, set up, bar, clean up, tech, stage managing, merchandise, membership, publicity, etc), so there is lots of room to help out. APAture depends on the support of individual donors and other supporters in addition to ticket and t-shirt sales. Help support APAture and Kearny Street Workshop by contributing to our Growing Our Roots campaign or becoming a member. Members receive discounts on APAture tickets and KSW workshops and merchandise. For the months of September and October, we have special gifts for new and renewing members.
