Kevin Camia is a stand up comic who loves to perform. He has performed around the country and in the Philippines and Hong Kong, and is a local favorite in the San Francisco Bay Area. He's a regular at Bay Area comedy venues like Punchline Comedy Club and Cobb's. Kevin's comedy is a unique blend of dry wit, storytelling and social satire. He does draw from his own experiences as a Filipino American but will write wherever his mind takes him. Samantha Chanse is a writer & performer who moved to the sf bay area in 2001 and has been bitching about the weather ever since. she performs standup comedy, writes theater stuffs, plays with the band formerly known as bantercut strategy, and is overly reliant upon twin penchants for smokes & kentucky bourbon to sustain her semblance of a personality; fortunately, her friends fall for it. she is also ksw's artistic director & co-director for locus arts. /www.whiskeyandacigarette.org Popularly known among fellow comics as the Indian Seinfeld, Samson Koletkar's comedic style is a blend of personal experiences and observations with an Indian touch. Samson was a 2006 Semi-Finalist at the Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Competition. A Boston native, Edwin Li has been a working comedian since the age of 16. Performing producing and hosting various comedy show in the Bay Area and appearing on and writing segments for the UPN show Speak On It, Edwin's comedy addresses issues ranging from dating to race, from education to finance. An avid fan and dedicated student of comedy from a young age, Edwin's comedy incorporates his own life experiences relating to family, education, and culture. Although always eager for a laugh, like most comedians, Edwin can be surprisingly serious and contemplative, actively searching for new words and new language to express new experiences and new perspectives in his comedy. Cherry Nguyen-Hubris is a 1.5 generation Vietnamese American from the cold hard streets of San Jose. Born and raised in California, she performs stand-up comedy in the Bay Area and is actively involved in the Asian American community. As a full-time graduate student who writes and produces plays and films, she is an expert on crying alone in dark corners. Pushed at the insistence of his friends, he went up onstage at the celebrated Houston Laff Stop open mic. Addicted to laughter, he kept plugging on till he was a finalist in the Funniest Person in Houston Competition. Since then, he has performed with comedians like Dave Attell, Tom Rhodes, Bobby Slayton, Debbie Gutierrez, Jerry Corley, Michael Pace, Ralphie Mae, and Lahna Turner. Constantly on the road winning audiences with his brilliant writing and hilarious observations of life in the USA as an East Indian immigrant, he still finds time for television commercials, radio performances, and brief movie performances. In her teddy bear buns, Adidas jacket and baggy pants, Ali Wong disarms the audience, before complaining about her vagina getting dusty and having to masturbate with a swiffer. A proud native San Franciscan, Ali Wong is best known for her imitations of white Rainbow Grocery shoppers in dreadlocks, and reflections on Muni and fish sauce consumption. Known in the stand-up community as "the woman who has been fuckin' shit up," Ali Wong has attracted a large fan base that has praised her comedy as "fresh, empowering, and fucking hilarious."
