Frances Sedayao : Dance

A Philippine native, FRANCES SEDAYAO'S dance and martial arts training began in college at CSU Hayward. She has danced and performed since throughout the Bay Area, and toured, locally, and nationally with Joey Ayala, Pilipino composer/recording artist, and Pearl Ubungen Dancers & Musicians. Frances' background includes works with NUBA Dance Theatre, Dandelion Dance Theatre, Veronica Combs' Liquid Fire Project, Paufve Dance, Anne Bluethenthal Dancers, Laura Elaine Ellis, and Facing East Dance Co., among others. She has presented original works in SF, and Vancouver BC in 2002, and most recently at Bindlestiff Studio in April 2003. Frances is actively involved in local political/queer/Pilipino performance projects and is currently a core artist for Jill Togawa's Purple Moon Dance. Frances is honored and grateful to be one of the featured artists for this year's APAture.
